This is not just an intuitive feeling but have some scientific reasoning. I started to feel this right form my school days when I started to realize the inevitability of causality. Whole science is based on cause and effect construct. Nature has already set the laws and phenomenon. We can't escape form it.
Universe is deterministic.
We can never prove it but still the universe is deterministic
We can't measure it's determinism coz' we are inside the system and their is no such way to inspect anything without disturbing it (even a touch of mass less photon creates disturbance.) .But what happens after a nanosecond is determined by the state of the universe at present. Uncertainty introduced by Quantum physics is due to our inability to account exact present state of the universe. Laws of nature are always the same. It is there. If there is mass there must be gravity. No one can alter that, even GOD is helpless.
